Thanks, although the scarring is part of the character I used, so I can't take credit for that. I haven't really ever tried to do something like that, but maybe I should.

very nice. did you have to recolour the skin? i found these skins come out a odd colour not like that in reality. i had to change them in Photoshop to get a more natural skin tone in reality

No. You just have to take the diffuse all the way to the image map. Reality tries to interpret the poser setup and so there's all kinds of color math and such. You have to dig in there and simplify until you get to just an image map. I also set the specular to a color. Sometimes those are in color math when you take them to Reality.

are interesting. i went into photoshop and changed the exopsure of the textures renamed them and then changed them over in the material tab in poser. Your ways seems much easier and simpler. Thanks for replying its a great render by the way

Amazing.

Everything looks great: skin tone, details, hair, lights...
Except for one little thing: the armor looks like a bit as if made of cardboard and painted rather than real steel. If that is the effect you wanted to obtain, it's fine. Personally I would have tried to add more reflection.

Save for this tiny detail (just personal taste), it's a great render.

One more question (3 actually). I read that you used Reality 4. Have you used Reality 3 before? Did you noticed an improvement in the new release?
In summary: is it worth to upgrade?

Thanks.

I don't agree about the armor, but everyone sees things differently. I wanted the armor to look worn, too.

I have used Reality 3 before and I find 4 better. I had an issue with 3 where if I opened a scene I had already saved with Reality information, it wouldn't export all the items to Lux. So if I needed to redo a scene I would have to strip the Reality info out of my save file first and start over on setting the materials in Reality. With Reality 4 I haven't had that issue, but some issues are different with different users. I also like the ACSEL thing that allows to save presets for things, so if you use that thing again it automatically loads the settings for it. No setup in Reality for that item.

To me, it was worth the reduced upgrade price, but I can't judge whether it would be for you. I guess just look at the new features and decide if it's something you need.

Thank for the explanation.

I have both Reality 2 for daz and Reality 3 for Poser. You are not the only one confirming that release 4 has much improved. I'll go for the upgrade too.

As for the armor, yes: it's a matter of personal taste. Maybe it was just because the armor look good while the rest looks amazing that I noticed that :)
